Jessica Abel is a management consultant, operational strategist, and the creator of the Governability Matrix℠, Abel Silverman’s proprietary diagnostic framework for evaluating how well a business can make decisions, assign authority, manage execution, and sustain accountability as complexity increases.

Jessica’s work is grounded in a simple operating principle: prevention is less expensive than correction. For more than 28 years, she has helped law firms and other expert-led businesses identify the structural conditions that create operational drag, leadership bottlenecks, inconsistent execution, unclear accountability, and profitability pressure.

Before forming Abel Silverman, Jessica founded and led Corrigan Consulting, where she advised law firms and professional services businesses on operations, business infrastructure, workflow design, staffing strategy, financial discipline, client-service systems, and leadership accountability. Her work expanded from helping small and solo law practices become profitable businesses into advising more complex professional services firms navigating growth, transition, and management strain.

Today, Jessica leads Abel Silverman’s operational advisory, governability diagnostic, business infrastructure, recruiting strategy, implementation, and executive management-support work. She helps firm leaders understand where the business has outgrown its current operating structure, then translates that clarity into practical systems for authority, accountability, workflow discipline, leadership communication, role clarity, and measurable execution.

Her advisory work sits at the intersection of business structure and human behavior. Jessica understands that operational problems are rarely just systems problems. They are often leadership, communication, decision-rights, accountability, and management-layer problems expressed through the daily work of the business.
